Frequently Asked Questions

The internet is replacing Adventure Consultants:
-
There are things technology just cannot replace. Personal touch is just one thing technology cannot replace. The internet is a valuable resource; however, it cannot replace the expertise, guidance, and personal service of an advisor. We have hours of extensive research and comparisons at out fingertips along with personal experience
Adventure Consultants don't have information as updated as the internet:
-
Adventure Consultants receive updated information daily along with new promotions being offered from hotels, and vendors that WILL NOT be published on the internet. Advisors will also call a place directly and see if they can work out other kind of special deals for you...the internet CANNOT do this!

Travel Advisors are a waste of time:
-
A Travel Advisor can actually save you from hours of painful research and price comparison shopping. Yes, you can find a lot of the same information that a travel advisor provides for you on your own, however you are going to spend a lot of valuable time doing so. We have up to date prices, and hotel conditions, along with previous clients who have traveled and gave us reviews of the destinations.

Is it expensive to use a travel advisor?
-
This may be the biggest misconception of all! Not every service a travel advisor provides has a fee. Most booking services are through hotels/vendors that pay the agent commission for the business generated. So, we get paid directly by the vendor not by charging you fees.
No one uses a travel advisor anymore:
-
Travel Advisors still sell: 51% of all flights, 87% of all cruises, 81% of all tours/packages, 45% of all car rentals, 47% of all hotels
